Terry Bozzio (Frank Zappa, Jeff Beck, Missing Persons, U.K.) and poet Todd Griese (Gandy Dancer Press) presented “tales and reminiscences…from the world of sound, image and verse” in a “landscape of art, music and spoken word” in “A Journey Along Spiritual Lines” to close out the first day of the Arts Alive Festival at the Channel Islands Art Center.
Friends for over 10 years, the exhibition displayed Bozzio’s art and Griese’s poetry as a ‘community’ project as‘Journeys Along Spiritual Lines’, after the title of his book. The duo displayed their individual art, Griese’s poetry, and Bozzio’s music with a live and recorded collaboration.
The biggest art festival in Ventura County, the Arts Alive Festival is free to attend (no charge for parking, either) and features artists, art studios, and art organizations, with live music, entertainment and fun for the kids.
