One day, Phil Campbell received a phone call while at my house. He received news that his roadie from overseas wouldn’t be able to make the tour over here in the US. When he hung up the phone he looked upset and I asked him “what’s wrong?” He said “I don’t have a roadie for the tour.” I said “yes you do!” I held up his guitar and my tuner and smiled. He smiled, and that was it, I was his new guitar tech. We set out, together with the band, on the “Everything Louder Than Everything Else Tour”. That’s when the gang and I really became close. Lemmy encouraged me all along to be on stage, not behind it. When I finally got serious about the dream, Todd, Lemmy and Phil got behind me 100%. Todd, Lemmy and Phil encouraged UDR to check us out, Motörhead Music (the label) was born… and we’re the spearhead.”

BUDDERSIDE performed at the first annual “Hall of Heavy Metal History” to kick off NAMM this year and honor Lemmy, Dio, Randy Rhoads, Frankie Banali, Rudy Sarzo and others. The band recently opened for Steel Panther NS will hit the road this summer with LA GUNS for a full-blown American Tour with over 40 cities.
When I used to call Lemmy, sometimes I would get his voicemail. He would say "Hello, Son's-a-Bitches!" Then you'd get the beep… Ha! When I'd sit behind Ronnie Dio at the recording studio, he'd be rolling joints from a garbage bag full of weed. Never looking back, he'd say "more bass!", "vocals need to be clearer!" And he would smoke blunt after blunt all to himself. And that was ok, Jimmy Bain and I were high enough already. We are so proud to be honoring Lem and Dio at the ceremony in their honor at the Anaheim Expo Center this coming Wednesday January 18th 2017. The line up is incredible and attendees will be legendary. So, in the spirit of Lem and Ronnie's sick sense of humor, I say, GOOD LUCK GETTING IN!!! Ha ha! No, but seriously, get your ass down there and start NAMM 2017 right! Peace!!!! #lemmy #dio #udr #motorhead #motorheadmusic #budderside #NAMM2017 #hallofheavymetalhistory
