Noone has played the Canyon Club a numberof times. Herman’s Hermits were one of the major groups of the BritishInvasion and last year marked the 60th anniversary of their debutalbum. Herman’s Hermits released another seven albums through 1968. Inthe U.S. Herman’s Hermits had 13 top 20 singles. Noone fronted thegroup from 1963-1971 and then went solo until forming his own versionof the group in the 80’s. The first song of the set was their U.K.Number one hit and biggest song “I’m Into Something Good.” The setlistincluded other hit Herman’s Hermits and Peter Noone covers of SamCooke’s “Wonderful World,” The Clovers “Love Potion No. 9,” TomCourtenay’s “Mrs. Brown, You’ve Got A Lovely Daughter.” HarryChampion’s “I’m Henry the VIII,” and the final song was The NewVaudeville Band’s “There’s a Kind of Hush.” Noone also honored theMonkee’s Davy Jones with “Daydream Believer.” There was a bit of humortoo during the show with Noone holding up an old photo of himself andsinging about the Canyon Club to the Beach Boys’ “Barbara Ann.” For afew songs Noone came and sang in the audience.For upcoming shows at the Canyon Clubhttps://wheremusicmeetsthesoul.com/canyon-agoura-hills/events/
