2022 Honorees

Dionne Warwick
A six-time GRAMMY Award-winner and Lifetime GRAMMY recipient, music legend Dionne Warwick continues to regale audiences internationally. From the early 1960’s on, her iconic sound set the bar in American pop music by earning more than 60 charted hit songs and selling over 100 million records. She has done more than entertain the world; as a humanitarian, she has advocated for global well-being through such efforts as AIDS awareness, The Starlight Foundation, children’s hospitals, and music education. Ms. Warwick notably served as U.S. Ambassador of Health, appointed in 1987 by President Ronald Reagan, and in 2002 acted as a United Nations Global Ambassador for the Food and Agriculture Organization. She has authored her autobiography, My Life, As I See It (Simon & Schuster) as well as children’s books, Say A Little Prayer and Little Man. Not only is Ms. Warwick the owner of an interior design company, WG Design Lab, her classic fashion style has its own signature acclaim, and a testament to its staying power is on display alongside Whitney Houston’s at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of African American History and Culture, preserving their iconic gowns for all-time. Ms. Warwick kicked off 2022 with a Gospel/Hip Hop single, “Power In the Name”, featuring Krayzie Bone (of Bone, Thugs & Harmony fame) and Damon Elliott, performing as NomaD. KT Tunstall
Since scoring a worldwide smash with her debut album Eye To The Telescope in 2004, which went on to sell over 5 million copies, KT Tunstall has remained at the forefront of UK Singer-Songwriter talent. KT followed up that early success with albums Drastic Fantastic (2007), Tiger Suit (2010), Invisible Empire//Crescent Moon (2013), KIN (2016) and WAX (2018), keeping the platinum sales rolling and cementing the Scottish Singer-Songwriter’s reputation as a major recording talent, as well as a mesmerizing live artist. Tunstall has toured the world many times over, winning the 2006 Brit Award for Best British Female Solo Artist, the Ivor Novello Best Song Award for her huge, self-penned hit “Suddenly I See”, and a Q Award for Track of the Year. She also landed a GRAMMY nomination for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance with “Black Horse and the Cherry Tree.” In late 2021, KT headed back out on the road, as she supported Rick Astley on his huge UK Arena tour, performed on-board the Melissa Etheridge Cruise and played a run of sold-out solo dates in the US. Ending the year in style, KT was appointed the huge honour of headlining the legendary New Year’s Eve celebrations in Times Square, New York. Find out more at www.kttunstall.com
Yvette Young
Yvette Young is the guitarist and writer for the band Covet. In addition to her band, she has a solo project where she plays piano, acoustic guitar, and violin. Yvette grew up classically trained in piano and violin and taught herself guitar while in the hospital. After completing a Fine Art and Visual Performing Arts education degree at UCLA, she worked as an art teacher awhile before transitioning to a full time musician. Because of her own personal experiences with using art and music as her own personal outlets, she is a huge advocate for music as a source of therapy and songwriting as a way to build self esteem and find a voice.
Carmen Vandenberg
Carmen Vandenberg is the lead guitarist and one half of the Grammy-nominated rock duo, BONES UK. Having toured alongside Jeff Beck, Tom Morello, Highly Suspect, Stone Temple Pilots, and Buddy Guy, to name a few, Carmen has made quite the name for herself since arriving stateside less than five years ago. She served as a collaborative writer and performer in the making of Jeff Beck’s 2016 album, “Loud Hailer,”. Together with bandmate, Rosie Bones, their self-titled debut album confronted everything from the beauty industrial-complex to toxic masculinity and music-scene sexism; embedding each track with choruses primed for passionate shouting-along. Carmen recently released her signature amp, the CV30 with partner Blackstar Amplification, and is the first female to do so. From all this, Carmen and Rosie might seem like a band who are already quite far along with their mission but spend any time in their presence and it’s easy to see that they are only just getting started.
