Grammy nominated and Platinum selling crossover favorites Gin Blossoms will light up the stage at the Ventura County Fairgrounds with their indelible jangle-pop sound on Saturday, June 19, at 8 pm.

Taking their name from a caption on a W.C. Fields photo, Gin Blossoms launched on to the national music scene in 1989 at the South By Southwest Music Festival in Austin Texas, followed by a performance at the MTV New Music Awards in New York City.  They signed a record deal with A&M and recorded their first EP “Up And Crumbling” in 1991.  Their rise to fame truly began to rise with their breakout record “New Miserable Experience” in 1992 that kept the band on the charts for almost 3 years with singles “Hey Jealousy,” “Allison Road,” “Until I Fall Away,” “Mrs Rita,” and “Found Out About You.”  The band’s fusion of Pop, Melodic Rock, Folk and Country elements took the airwaves by siege, held the MTV playlist hostage for almost a decade and made the band a 90’s mainstay.

The Gin Blossoms live concert is scheduled for Saturday, June 19 at 8:00 pm at the Ventura County Fairgrounds.  Tickets start at $99. per car for up to four passengers, with additional passenger tickets available for purchase.  The number of passengers must not exceed the number of safety belts/seats in the vehicle.  Tickets are sold in advance and online only.
