Loverboy has been around since 1978 but really had gained popularity as the 70’s ended and the 80’s started. Booming on the radio with hit and hit like Turn Me Loose and The Kid is Hot Tonight! Seeing the boys on stage was a trip down memory lane! Mike Reno singing vocals and belting out the songs that mad them famous kept the Fantasy Springs Fans cheering and wanting more! Fellow members did some incredible solos on there part! With Paul Dean on guitar! Along with Reno and Dean, LOVERBOY still includes original members Doug Johnson on keyboards and Matt Frenette on drums, with Ken “Spider” Sinnaeve (a former member of Dean and Frenette’s pre-LOVERBOY band Streetheart), replacing the late Scott Smith on bass, and continues a healthy touring schedule around the world. Show started around 8:15 and ended about 10pm with one encore. Really enjoyed the band but I can’t say what solo stood out the most! All incredible musicians. Fantasy Springs Casino is located just outside of Palm Springs about 90 mins from L.A. I 10 Freeway. All Seats are reasonably priced and sound and lighting is very good.
