The 5th annual Bash Fest will take place at The Yost in Santa Ana, CA in January 2018.

For three nights, some of music’s most prolific artists will come together and pay tribute to their heroes for a legendary weekend of music and madness.

Producers Brian Tichy and Joe Sutton have been creating unique celebration concerts for the past several years, and have now combined them into one weekend of All-Star mayhem to coincide with NAMM January 24, 25 & 26, 2018.

For the first time in Bash Fest history, Wednesday, January 24th, 2018 kicks off with All-Star jam night Soundcheck Live. Soundcheck Live is a monthly Hollywood jam series that features some of LA’s most notable touring and session players and marquee musical talent. Steve Ferlazzo of Ferlazzo Productions, creator of Soundcheck Live had this to say, “We’re super excited to kick off this year’s Bash Fest with Soundcheck Live! Big thanks to Brian Tichy and Joe Sutton for bringing the Soundcheck Live experience to The Yost on Wednesday, Jan 24th, 2018! We’re lining up some of the biggest A-list musical talent for an evening of kick-ass music!”

The second night of Bash Fest features fan favorite Bonzo Bash. This is the first of these shows the Tichy / Sutton team produced, with the first one taking place September 25th, 2010, on the 30th anniversary of Bonham’s passing. This concept was created by Tichy to celebrate the drummer most consider the greatest in rock n’ roll: John Henry Bonham. They have since taken the show to not only Russia but both US coasts, with BashFest 2018 sure to be the mightiest one yet. The show highlights the industry’s top drummers playing their favorite Led Zeppelin tunes. Each drummer will be accompanied by house band The Moby Dicks.

The Bozo Bash tribute is the highlight of the three shows, featuring house band The Moby Dicks, Doug Aldrich/guitars, Steve Ferlazzo/keys Phil Soussan/bass Brian Tichy/drums and Chas West/Vox

This is the first tribute brainchild of Tichy and Sutton hatched 6 years ago and has grown into a MONSTER event!! The growing roster of talented drummers is captivating! This year’s tribute was off the hook starting with the opening number “Achilles Last Stand” to “The Ocean“-Lez Warner(The Cult), “Dancing Days“-Johnny Dee(Doro Pesch,Britny Fox), “Ten Years Gone“-Stephen Perkins(Janes Addiction/Tabitha), “Custard Pie“-Simon Wright-(Dio/AC/DC/Hellion, Geoff Tate’s Queensryche,Rhino Bucket) “Ramble On“-Rachael Rine (Femme Fatale,Paradise Kitty) “Communication Breakdown“-Carmine Appice Tichy on acoustic-“Over The Hills and Far Away“-Rob Affuso (Skid Row Soulsysytem, Four By Fate)-Immigrant Song-Jimmy D’Aanda (Lynch Mob, Bullet Boys) with Robert Mason (Warrant)Vox-Chuck Garric (Alice Cooper/Beasto Blanco) Bass “What Is And What Should Never Be“-Khurt Maier (Salty Dog) D’Yer Ma’ker-Rich Redmond (Jason Aldean) “Wanton Song“-Jason Sutter(Chris Cornell, Marilyn Manson,Foreigner,Smashmouth,N.Y.Dolls) “The Rover”– Logan “Robot” Gladden (13 Years Old), “Rock And Roll”-Aquiles Priester (Tony Macalpine,Hangar) , “Good Times Bad Times”-Deen Castronovo (Journey,Revolution Saints, Ozzy Osbourne, Hardline) “Royal Orleans”-Gregg Potter (Buddy Rich Band), “Out On The Tiles”-John Hummel (Matt O’Rhee Band/NJ Badass/Lady Gaga) with Mitch Malloy on vocalsBlack Dog“-Jason Bittner (Shadows Fall/Flotsam and Jetsam) “Song Remains The Same“- Ray Luzier (Korn/David Lee Roth/Army Of Anyone/Jake E. With this KILLER lineup of talent the almost 5 hour show breezed by and still could’ve continued. Brian makes every musician a standout and participates from beginning to end with perfection. Kudos must be given to the incredible people who do help make this an extraordinary event starting with Brian Tichy the hardest working musician out there as well as ONE HELL of a talent from the thunderous way he plays drums to his guitar playing always bringing it to the stage its contagious you can tell by the audience reaction. Joe Suttor who works tiredly on production and Noelle Kim on VIP/Media worked the red carpet, floor, backstage and VIP all night keeping things going. Standout of the evening without a doubt was 13 year old Logan “Robot”Gladden Killing on “The Rover” as if he’d been playing in the band for years!! The Moby Dicks playing as tight as ever Chas West Channeling Robert Plant like no other out there! Great weekend of music and tributes these musicians put so much hard work, time, and LOVE of the heroes they grew up listening to and trying to emulate on these nights they did just that.

Rounding off the weekend will be the 3rd and final show of Bash Fest taking place on Friday, January 26th, 2018 with Randy Rhoads Remembered, a celebration of the brilliant and original Ozzy Osbourne guitarist Randy Rhoads. Tichy and Sutton created this event in 2013 after agreeing Randy Rhoads surely deserved recognition for his musical impact. They are both huge fans of Rhoads’, and Tichy himself played with Ozzy Osbourne. Randy’s brother Kelle Rhoads performs and his sister Kathy Rhoads D’Argenzio shares her stories making this a very touching and personal experience for all involved.
