Minor Strut @ Conejo Valley Days Saturday May 13th Thousand Oaks
It’s not easy to steal the show from Dave Grohl and Taylor Hawkins, but that’s
exactly what 11 year old David Lee and his band Minor Strut did. Covering 2 songs
at Conejo Valley Days, the band consisting of 11-16 year olds Lee on guitar and
lead vocals, Ethan “E”-12 Bass Josh 13 on Keys, Marquis 16 on Bass and 13 year
old Aiden on the drums the band covered Foo Fighters “Everlong” even getting
Hawkins attention that he came out to watch the youngsters. They tore through a
blistering cover of Van Halan’s Ice Cream Man, to which the crowd went crazy.

The band has been playing since March 2014 and covers a wide variety of covers
from Alternative to Rockabilly, as well as original music. They have performed at
The Whisky a Go Go, House of Blues, The Cave and have also had the
opportunity to play with such legendary rockers such as Duff McKagan (Guns and
Roses), John Tempesta and Social Distortion. Minor Strut’s debut LP “Connected”
released May 2016, contains 4 original tracks. They have quite a stage presence
and no doubt about it with Lee on guitar and vocal leading the way these guys
know how to rock!!! They absolutely KILLED IT Saturday leaving the crowd
breathless and wanting more. With kids like this Rock and Roll will live forever…..
