Normally, Thursday night at The Canyon is reserved for Live Unsigned/ a show with a collection of promising local bands.
Last night, there were a few “jam band” type groups that put on a very cool show with neat visuals (the colors, man) and a great live streaming experience. CRN is more heavy rock focused, but the best jam band experience I’ve encountered to date was MICKEY HART at the House of Blues – what an incredible experience that was.
Upon arrival, Moonalice was well into their set and playing some great tunes. The lighting was great and the screen in the back made for a great show with some fantastic jamming. The crowd was a very happy bunch and very into this show.
Cubensis followed them with their set of jammy tunes. They’re a good band and it was a nice way to end the day.
It turns out they were live streaming the event on the Moonalice website.
After leaving past 11:00 (the dude outside doing the hula hooping with his trippy glow in the dark hula hoop was really cool – should have scored some footage of that) , it was possible to go home and catch the rest of the show on the computer. How cool is that? http://www.moonalice.com/tour/2015-04-30/canyon-club
