Los Angeles, CA — Following the release of “Crimson,” the lead single from their upcoming debut album Death Doula, instrumental trio MISSOULA will bring their dynamic, cinematic sound to LA’s The Baked Potato on Tuesday, June 30 for a special hometown performance highlighting the band’s explosive chemistry and virtuosic musicianship.

The lineup features drummer Brooks Wackerman (Avenged Sevenfold, Bad Religion), guitarist John Konesky (Tenacious D), and bassist/keyboardist John Spiker (Tenacious D, Beck), bringing together three longtime collaborators and accomplished musicians for an intimate live setting at one of Los Angeles’ most legendary listening rooms.

MISSOULA emerged earlier this year with the release of “Love Bombs,” before officially introducing the project with lead single “Crimson,” a track that quickly established the band’s identity: heavy, deliberate, and deeply locked-in. Built around Konesky’s fluid, narrative-style guitar work and Wackerman’s instinctive, hard-hitting precision, the music moves more like a film score than a traditional rock record—dynamic, technical, and constantly evolving without losing momentum.

Their debut album Death Doula, out June 26, expands on that foundation across eleven tightly composed instrumental tracks that shift between crushing riffs, melodic textures, and sprawling cinematic passages. Rather than functioning as a showcase for technical excess, the album thrives on restraint, chemistry, and instinct.

Konesky explains:

“Missoula is what happens when you take the reins off and let yourself run free, naked and fearless, thru an infinite universe.”

The June 30 performance at The Baked Potato marks one of the project’s first official live appearances and offers fans a rare opportunity to experience Death Doula in an intimate club environment designed for serious musicianship and improvisation.
