[…] #2 Both: A Hard Day’s Silent Night Imagine hearing of a Nativity stage show featuring the music of The Beatles telling the narrative tale in a re-arranged Broadway style with gospel undertones and what you have is the show “Both: A Hard Day’s Silent Night”. Now I realize I’m a bit late in the game regarding all things Beatles around town, but walking into this small 24th street theater knowing nothing about the show, I was primed to absorb it all unfiltered and in the end walked away completely enamored with it. I fell in love with this show. With a large cast and their lushful vocals wafting through the audience it felt bigger than those theater walls. It was pounding it’s fists to break out of that building and share it’s wondrous self with every one. I kept thinking, every one needs to see this show. Beatles fans need to see this show. Someone needs to take this thing to a larger stage and produce this for the entire month of December. The message of peace and love not only resonates with music fans or Beatles fans but guess what other Christmas seasonal message could relate to it? See what I mean.
