Broadcast live on Yahoo Music, Steel Panther said goodbye to the venue that hosted many wonderful years of Heavy Metal Mondays on the Sunset Strip. The news trucks were out, people were frantically trying to obtain tickets for the sold out show and the place packed out the moment the doors opened.
Always known for special guests over the years, the show was complete with a shredding version of “You Really Got Me” with Nuno Bettencourt, Joey Fatone singing along to “Girl From Oklahoma” and “Community Property“, being joined onstage with Miley Cyrus, Billy Ray Cyrus, Dane Cook, Ron Jeremy and more, it was a fitting way to end the end of an era with one of the best venues LA has ever known.
Along with the patented humor, boobs and shredding heavy metal, a ton of blow up dolls came down from the ceiling during “Glory Hole“. That was a true highlight of a show that was highlight after highlight.
