Fast Times is a totally awesome party band that rocks.    With Jeff Spicoli on lead vocals, Slash of guitar, Nikki Sixx on bass and “Devo” on drums, this is an 80s party/tribute band that always brings a great crowd to the Canyon Club.

Last year, Fast Times had the honor or being the pre-game and halftime band where they performed their 80s hits at The Honda Center in Anaheim for the LA KISS arena football game (Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley are co-owners of the team).  During the evening, they also shared the stage with The Iron Maidens’ Courtney Cox and Nita Strauss (who, a the time had just been announced as Alice Cooper’s guitarist) and the Street Drums Corps.

As usual, they played an excellent set of 80s tunes.    It’s really fun music and the band is great with phenomenal guitar playing.  And was quite the party with hundreds of people rocking on the dance floor having a great time.  If you remember the 80s or want to experience a little of what they were like from a musical/ cultural standpoint, make sure you venture out and see Fast Times this year.

Zero 1 was the main support act.   Hal Sparks has rocked numerous times with Steel Panther over the years and seeing him rock with his band is cool.  For the evening, he had talented singer/songwriter Taylor Carroll on drums, along with “Bumper Renga” on the bass.

STRANGER THINGS was the opener and was a good metal band with some good grooves.
