Blues-Rock legend George Thorogood & The Destroyers and Canyon Lights
played the Bank of America Performing Arts Center (Fred Kavli Theater)
Sunday night (3-8). Thorogood just turned 76 February 24th and still
puts on a rocking show. Next year will be the 50th Anniversary of the
Destroyers debut album and there have been a total of 16 studio albums
with the last one 2120 South Michigan Ave. release in 2011. There were
a total of seven albums to hit Gold status and 17 singles charting on
Mainstream Rock. Thorogood & The Destroyers played a hit filled set of
“Who Do You Love,” “I Drink Alone,” “One Bourbon, One Scotch, One
Beer,” “Gear Jammer,” and “Bad To The Bone,” “Move It On Over.” The
Destroyers are original drummer Jeff Simon, Billy Blough has been the
bassist since 1977, Jim Shuler has been the guitarist since 1999, and
Buddy Leach has been the saxophonist since 2003.
