Lucius and Attention Bird Utopia played the Wiltern Theater Friday night (11/21) in Los Angeles, CA.
Lucius is composed of singing duo Jess Wolfe and Holly Laessig, drummer Dan Molad and guitarist Peter Lalish.
Just two years after moving to L.A. from Brooklyn NY, Wolfe and Laessig were featured on Roger Water’s Us + Them tour (2017-18) They have also sung with the likes of Harry Styles, John Legend, Jackson Browne, Mavis Staples, John Prine, Joni Mitchell, Jeff Tweedy, and many more. The opening song of their 18 song setlist was “Final Days.” Two of the last three songs before the encore included War On Drugs’ Adam Granduciel joining on for “Lucy” and “Old Tape.’ “Genevieve” was played before the encore. They would return for a four song encore with Dawes’ Taylor and Griffin Goldsmith on “Million Dollar” and “Made Love.” Lucius with Attention Bird Utopia closed out the show with “Two of Us On the Run“ and a cover of R.E.M.’s “Everybody Hurts” with Attention Bird Utopia,” This was the second to last show of the tour
