It’s been 22 years since the world lost one of the greatest artists to emerge in the 70’s, Warren Zevon. The Wild Honey orchestra put on the ultimate tribute to Zevon at the United Theater on Broadway in Downtown Los Angeles, CA (Formerly the Theater at Ace Hotel) with a total of 31 songs broken into two sets. In Zevon’s lifetime he released 13 studio albums with his final album being released just under two weeks before his death. Honoring Zevon was his son Jordan and old friends Jackson Browne and Jorge Calderon among over 20 artists including country legend Dwight Yoakum, Fountains of Wayne, Susan Cowsill, David Marks (Beach Boys), Chris Stills (son of Stephen Stills), Shooter Jennings (Son of Waylon Jennings), and more. The orchestra and backing band included session legends Leland Sklar, Bob Glaub, and Rick Marotta as well as regular Wild Honey performers Nelson Bragg, Jim Laspeza, Rob Bonfiglio, who had been in Brian Wilson’s band, violinist Kaitlyn Wolfberg who also conducted, and bassist Derrick Anderson (The Bangles). The two closing songs for the grand finale were  Zevon’s “Werewolves of London” and “Lawyers, Guns, and Money” featuring all the performers throughout the evening.
