Legendary frontman of 80’s Metal band Skid Row, Sebastian Bach performed at the Majestic Ventura Theater in Ventura, CA June 27th playing a set of Skid Row classics with Classless Act as the opener. As Bach said this year was the 35th anniversary of the bands self-titled debut album and he performed 9 of the 11 songs from that album which made up of more than half the setlist. three of the band’s biggest hits came from that album which were “18 And a Life,” “I Remember You,” and the final song of the show “Youth Gone Wild.” “I Remember You,” came towards the end of the set and Bach paid tribute to Rock legends we lost in the last four years like Eddie Van Halen, Neil Peart, And Taylor Hawkins to before 2020 including Dimebag Darrell and Vinnie Paul Abbott, Chris Cornell, and Ronnie James Dio. Bach had performed a bit of Black Sabbaths’s “Heaven and Hell” first. The 16- song set also included major hits “Slave to the Grind” and “Monkey Business.”There was one cover song Included as well which was Rush’s “Tom Sawyer.” Bach performed three songs from his solo career which were “What Do I Got to Lose,” “Freedom,” and “Everybody Bleeds.” Bach stated this was the 40th show of the tour and talked about living nearby in Thousand Oaks during the pandemic and how he left New Jersey over flooding to live in L.A. and evacuate for wildfires. Bach’s new band consists of his son Paris on drums, Clay Eubank on bass, and Brody DeRozie on guitar. Guitarist Brent Woods had been in the band for a decade and is currently out with John Waite opening for Foreigner and Styx and recently Frankie Valli drummer Andy Sanesi had been playing with Bach which was previously Jeremy Colson (Steve Vai).
